| Description: | The Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) groups a multi-disciplinary group of engineering researchers around the theme of "Human-centered Manufacturing and Robotic systems". They develop new methods, concepts and guidelines for designing and optimizing the products, processes and workplace of the Factory of the Future, where the role of the human operator will be enhanced, supported and augmented using wearable information technology, adaptive work infrastructures and assistive automation and robots. XiAK is the Industial Automation group, situated on campus Kortrijk. It is equipped with an industrial laboratory, including assembly line, pick&place robot, pick to light warehouse, as well as RFID and camera-based monitoring systems.
